New Tennis Courts Update

Our new artificial clay tennis courts are nearing completion. The weather was reasonably kind the us last week and Chiltern were able the lay the underlying carpet and undertake the first dressing with the infill. Additional top dressing was undertaken on Sunday with the work continuing today.

The posts and nets will be fitted this week. However, please note that, although the courts may look finished, they will not be ready for play until we have had a hand-over meeting with Chiltern (which is currently planned for the back end of this week) and all, if any, necessary remedial actions have been completed.

Prior to re-opening the courts, we will be issuing some guidelines regarding playing footwear and after-play maintenance. In the meantime, there is a Youtube video about the after-play maintenance that we will all need to undertake which is worth viewing. It can be accessed through the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MW6oLFaqN2U.

It is not long now, so many thanks for your continuing co-operation.
